Prep has started , speaking to new players etc etc.

Im skippering Sandford 2nd Eleven this coming summer , Devon Premier 2nd XI League.

Our First team is back into the 1st XI Devon Premier league as well after promotion from the A Division last year.

with 2 sunday sides again featuring in the North Devon leagues Division 1 & 3

If your a local cricketer , either looking to move up in standard on a Saturday , or a player who wants to play socially on a sunday then please send me a PM if your at all intrested -

Sandford CC is the best club in Devon Cricket - im biased of course , but the ground is genuinely one of the best in the county and the facilities top draw , great social side and nice people too.

Not had our AGM yet but I'm assuming I'll still be our 2s Skip (unless anyone else wants the gig in which case I'm happy to step down!). Looks like our wonderful league has had a slight restructure with several teams (all first/only XIs) in last season's 4th division being lumped into the 2nd XI section of the 3rd division.

And Tower effing Hamlets were denied promotion, meaning another trip to Hackney Marshes to play on the worst (and most difficult to get to) pitch in christendom. Joy.

I'm retired now WMM. Usually do one game a month, so 5 in total. That's ample.

Too old. Eyes and knees and heart have gone.

You were too modest to show your bowling average but looking at your batting average you would not have been far out of place if you had done a turn in the Ashes. :)

Are you in bowling mode what Missy describes as a miserly off spinner ?

No, Credy's a RAO medium pacer, swings it a bit, sometimes nips it around on a green top. Quite handy. Catches well and bats. He's quite accomplished. Especially when he tries hard, which isn't often enough! :)
