All Bran was invented by a c*ckney working for Kellogs. He was asked to describe it to his bosses and noted it's colour, hence the name.

The reason why photographers say "cheese!" when taking pictures dates back to Victorian times when everyone used to hold a slice of cheese when being photographed. It was only in 1955 that the cheese was dropped. If you don't believe me then get an old picture out and look VERY, VERY, VERY closely.
