On today's performance Amond, Brown and Jay all deserve to be in the team so now he's recovered from Covid it's up to Nombe to up his game and show why he should be in the side.
I just think with Amond and Nombe together with their combined strengths we will score goals for fun.

How would you line up the eight behind them?

Interesting question. It was noticable that when Nombe replaced Amond, Brown dropped back alongside MJ & Nombe played up front alone. Even allowing for Nombe's rustiness, I don't think we look as effective with just 'one up top'.

And yet only a few hours ago we were all wondering where the next goal was coming from. We were definitely much improved but I'm not sure the likes of McArdle and Page will be as generous next week as the Rovers defence were in the first half today.
Page will probably be unfit and Nombe, Brown, Amond and Jay should be giving McArdle the run around.

Imho there are very few strikers who are "effective on their own up top". I don't know when this craze developed, but I've never been a fan of it. I was puzzled when Alan Ball played Ronnie Jepson up front alone once, but IIRC, after 60 minutes of Ronnie flicking the ball on to nobody, this tactic was abandoned

Great game! Very well played. If Josh Key had scored after that run!!! Wow

After seeing a few Rovers numpties walking up the high st, with a police escort declaring they can do what they want........i guess they did after 25 mins when a few chuffed off home 🤣

What a first 30 minutes! Very impressed with Brown, was expecting a tricky player that would frustrate due to inconistency, however i was so far of the mark. Seems to make the right decison almost always, and does the simple stuff so well, including playing with his back to goal.

Also absolutely loved screaming in the face of the two gasheads next to me in the stagecoach after every goal! They didnt know where to look🤣🤣🤣

Come on Memphis and ExmouthMart, let’s have your reaction.
Wasn’t there today, so can’t comment on the game. The result speaks for itself. Don’t understand the them and us attitude. It’s just opinions which we are all entitled to and we are all fans after all. The natives are very restless up here but Joey Barton still promising to deliver promotion and asking for patience……
