Took my boy to see City several times in the Flack years, he didn't get "the bug" so he didn't go no more, fair enough. He's an Arsenal fan now!
Many are called few are chosen.
I expect there are kids out there really upset that Taunton are facing the chop, think of all those Torquay kids what kind of success have they ever known?

My Dad is a Chelsea fan from the Isle of Wight, he took me a few times because I pestered him. Tried to take me to Torquay because it was “safer”. Then left at half time after he won the 50/50 vs Argyle in the late 90s (worried he’d get mugged) and hasn’t set foot in SJP again

My Dad took me to my first away game at the old ‘Gay Meadow’ at Shrewsbury. Lost 2-0, Rogers with both goals. It was Kevin Miller‘s return game (2nd time around(?)). Loved and now follow the mighty (at times) reds for life….for my sins!

That was a stupid thing to say. If no striker now arrives he has left the door open to be ritually slaughtered. Any club or agent in negotiation now has just increased the asking price.Exeter will sign at least one striker - Caldwell

Remembering 2007 when Mackie left for Slime, this place was in meltdown then as well. Think Tisdale put in a half-hearted £80k bid for James Constable at Oxford, no deal (probably just as well). Exeweb was very busy until the last minute of the transfer window but nothing happened.
