Just re listened to Nick Hawker’s interview from 15th December .
The first important thing he said was there is unprecedented
amount of money available.
Later he went to on say there will be significant amount of money on
the table in January.

Lots of money but no forwards, getting annoyed at waking up to the same story every morning.
Sonny better have grown in stature and skill over the past week, seems the only hope.

We can afford 300k.
On Football Manager/FIFA 2024 we can but back to the real world now where signing on fees, relocation expenses and wages also need to be factored in ...... Yes we have a bigger budget but we simply arent going to treble our highest ever fee.

Sounds crazy…but Ben Seymour is knocking them in for Hampton and Richmond.
That boy has always had talent he just never managed to find his feet…and with what’s going on with our inability to sign strikers.
I’d get him back in for a second crack.

Ben has found his level. He will never be able to play in league one.

Spending £300k on a transfer fee is one thing, but we need to pay that player as well. Finger in the air, let's say we pay that player £3k per week and give him a 2.5 year contract. That's an annual salary of c£150k, or £375k over the 2.5 years. Total cost of that player is therefore £675k, or on average £270k per season.

Given that our total playing budget is (and I'm guessing here) somewhere around £2.5m to £3m, is it really sensible to punt 10% of the annual budget into one player?
