Ian Sharps has gone from Burton to Telford on loan
Appreciate hes another player "of age" but experienced, brick **** house type centre back... what a difference a player like that would make to us.

What relevance is what division we're in ?
Because budgets, turnovers, crowd sizes, players wages all add up to journeyman pros, ambitious youngsters and sh*tty players who cant pick up a contract in League 1 or Championship.

Oh and before people say "1.75 million from grimes....." yes, that is a lot of money at this level for a single player but it's not a huge amount over the course of a season. If we dont get good gate receipts we dont get good players. Simples.

Correct, but a journeyman pro centreback and goalkeeper would be a great help.

It is a huge amount if it's not budgeted for. It's free money in effect and bears no relevence to gate receipts etc, unless you mean to use it to prop up income figures that might be lower than expected.

Last season we conceded 57 goals in 46 games, conceding on average 1.2 goals a game

so far this season we've conceded 44 goals in 31 games, at the moment around 1.4 goals a game. On current projections, this will amount to conceding 65 goals this season

Torquay finished bottom of League 2 last season having only conceded 1 more goal, conceding 66 in total.

We need a centre back NOW!!
