That'd all fit comfortably in your back pocket.
Your back pocket is obviously a lot larger than mine.

Gayer back.

Lol. I can't work out whether that's an insult or a chat up line!

Mine's invaluable. It usually contains brolly, BlackBerry, business cards, pens, notebook, contact lenses/glasses depending on what's on my eyes at any given time, Oyster card, iPod, newspaper, lunch (if I've made it that day) and assorted other bits and pieces.

Disclosure: I work in the media, where manbags are considered part of the uniform and are not optional.

No man should use, never mind own and carry, an umbrella.

It's a hangover from my time spent living in Cardiff. All jumpers came attached with their own umbrellas. The umbrellas had extra umbrellas on them, and these were triple strength.

Gawd knows I love Cardiff, but it's a very wet place.

As Ant says, is that an insult, or a chat up line?

Depends if you're trying it on a Welsh bird or an English one.

Other than the manbag carrying? Surprisingly well. Hob-nobbing with the stars (well, I've been in a lift with Harry Hill and Holly Willoughby, and chatted to Peter Reid if they count), writing a bit about football, getting away with dressing scruffily to work. The usual.

Frustratingly, I've still not been able to get to a City game this season. I nearly got to Shrewsbury, but had to go to Wembley instead.

Wembley FC, that is.

I reckon Barnet will be my first game of the season. And no, I'm not proud of this.

And yes, I'll try and wear my manbag with pride. Mine's beige, dontcha know
