William Russell(99) Actor.

Played opposite William Hartnell as the traveller in the first few series of Dr Who. Made a cameo appearance in 2022, 57 years later.
One of the last(if not the last) surviving actors from The Great Escape(1963) His part was Sorren The Security Officer.

Indeed Ian Chesterton. Shame he just missed a century.

Came across in the series as a proper chap. I loved his early intervention to stop Doctor Who bashing the caveman’s head in with a rock.

Mieczysław Frąckiewicz, aircrew of 304 Squadron has died today at the age of 104 .

It is with great sadness that we have learnt that our great friend Mieczysław Frąckiewicz (also known as John Franklin) has passed away at the age of 104 years.
He served during the war with 304 Polish Bomber Squadron.

To the 165,000 Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen who took part in D-Day 80 yrs ago today and who died that day and have since passed away, Thank you. RIP.

Seeing those veterans on TV now and realising how young they were back then, no wonder they're often called "The Greatest Generation"
