Sir Jack Petchey, has died aged 98 at his home in East London.
The businessman set up the Jack Petchey Foundation in 1999 to provide opportunities for young people across London and Essex through sport, science and art.
The foundation has invested more than £170 million into youth projects and it also provides grants to young people at youth organisations and secondary schools through the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme.
I worked in East London for decades. RIP

American actor and comedian Martin Mull, known for his work on the TV sitcoms Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Roseanne, has died at age 80. One of those actors that if you saw his face you'd recorgnise him, I first knew of him playing the manager of the Diner that Roseanne worked in. RIP

Never seen such expression in a pair of eyes. Most of the time he lounged around on his back thoroughly content and somewhat mischievous but when roused he could put the fear of God in you in a flash.
Impressive beast, sadly missed.
Were you trying to steal his banana?

The gorillas were fascinating on that Longleat tv programme. They had favourite keepers and others they didn’t like. They definitely had a sense of humour and would take the **** out of newbie keepers. But could also tear you to pieces if they felt like it 😬
