Yep, this is a real issue. Since the BBC and MetOffice parted company, both their forecasts are notably worse.

There isn't too much more anyone could have done except get the word out as soon as a pitch inspection was deemed necessary for a marginal decision and have a local referee on hand to do the inspection.If fans still want to take the risk then they have enough information to make a decision based on the known risk.

No it was always going to be difficult in these circumstances, but what was unforgiveable was announcing at ten in the morning that you would be giving out updates throughout the day and saying bugger all thereafter !

It's almost as if today's media weather forecasting has become the meteorological equivalent of the "Squid Games,".
