A proud day for the Club. Well played Ollie and what an inspiration to that group of U16/U18 players putting in the hard yards at C&F.

If the parents of Sonny Cox, Harry Lee, Jack Veale, at al, are reading about Ollie's fantastic achievement, please consider how having a bit of patience, in his formative years, was the best thing he had.
Perhaps they might like to look at this when deciding upon signing on the dotted line https://www.wtfoot.com/player/ollie-watkins/ don't know how realistic it is but does make you think and shows what patience and perseverance can do for you

it's disappair'd
I was there with Stroudy and Gozzer  We met Ollie's uncle in the queue and he gave us a spare ticket he had.
Without the Nouvelle Clique, Ollie would have been nothing, gone nowhere.

Unless Mick had given him a lift in his caravan.

Didn't Mick bring Dixie McNeill down from Leicester back in the swinging 60s?

Another thought could the scum lay some claim to helping him on his way by letting him score that brace against them
I fell over near on my way
He slipped
I 'slipped' on my way home, via the Bowling Green, after this match 🤣

If he goes on to play for England, what better place to watch it than on the proposed new screen at SJP ! 😍

It's not bad. I'd take issue with this bit though 'In three seasons at Brentford Watkins went from a relatively unknown youngster to one of the hottest properties in English football.'

I mean, he'd been named the best young player in the whole Football League by then.
