Hardly Al. My state school "socialist education" taught me to all question and mistrust the lies fed by "the establishment". :p
And, sadly, my early years were blighted by the ar$e end of a succession of Tory (mal)administrations in every system. And not just the education one either - I've still never forgiven thieving Chancellor Anthony Barber for imposing Purchase Taxes on my pocket money sweets.
PS. As for my age I'm delighted to advise that even as I was entering my first year at Exmouth Exeter Road Infant School you were probably just finishing your final year in the 6th Form at the Tebburn Academy For Young Toffs. (Fees Non Negotiable - although Tax Deductible)
As purchase tax was introduced in 1940 and extended to confectionery in 1962 I am not sure you should be haranguing poor old Tony Barber. Selwyn Lloyd perhaps ?

P.S. No paying academy for me. I was educated in state schools and a state technical college.

Does that mean you're educated technically, you're technically educated, or technically you're educated? :ROFLMAO:

This sentence reminds me of the winning entry in a New Statesman competition, many years ago, when people were asked to compose last lines of books which, once seen, would ensure nobody would want read the rest of the book:

"And so it was, at the age of 5, that I entered the gates of Exeter Road Infant School, and began the next chapter of my life".
Still not a patch on the (alleged but rejected) opening to Lettuce's latest bonk-buster.."QE2 - MY part in her downfall".

"And so it was that I snuggled under the duvet with my Chancellor on the fold-up bed in the ante-room between No 10 and No.11 Drowning Street, watching as we saw the rolling news on G-Beebies.
" 'OMG my darling Lizzie Lettuce-leaf, our budget is tanking the economy.' wailed the wavering Kwami. What a terrible blow'
"' 'Don't worry my darling", I whispered seductively into his ear. I'll just give you an ever bigger blow. That should revive your political libido.' I gave him my most flirtacious giggle, fluttering my eyelashes seductively over my blank, souless blue eyes.'
"He gazed at me with pure adoration. 'Well, my angel, I'll do anything you wish as long as it pleasures you'
" 'OK then. Resign! You're even more of a pathetic wimp than my useless cuckold of a husband. YOU'RE FIRED!. And get out quickly through the back door. I have Lord Sugar knocking at the front one...'"

(To be continued...or, preferably, NOT)

I think we are all pretty well aware of what Ms Rayner may have done which could be wrong/illegal. No need for the whistle blower to blather on. Let Plod get on with its enquiry. And HMRC if it is interested.

The whistle-blower had a similar line of questioning from the Beeb I recall, it’s as if these journalists are unaware of the not commenting on a live police investigation thingy.
I’m still bemused as to why she’s still in post, her own personal stated burden of proof line has already been crossed. 🤷‍♂️

I think it’s all pretty straight forward, really. He won’t have Parliamentary immunity if he says out loud, on tv, what may be proven to be false, and so opening himself up to libel.

Cut her some slack Tavy. She is a hard working class Northern lady being smeared by wicked Tories. According to Sir Keith.
