Poll: were MJ & Dieng 'integral to the team'

Both seemed like integral parts of the dressing room and seemed to play big roles in terms of the togetherness and good morale we have within our squad.

Maybe not integral on the pitch this season but both had a part to play and have impacted games this season, Tim especially will be a big loss and was a very good option to have.

Interesting stats. MJ's goal participation to minutes played ratio was very poor this season.

MJ was good at wearing a number this year and parts of last. Let's be honest MJ was only good for two seasons 41 goals in 10 years of professional football isn't that good.

I think you may be right, MJ has always been a slow burner and you can contrast his 206 appearances with that of Archie who just completed 200 appearances and is three years younger, that said 40 odd goals in just over 200 appearances equates to 1 every 5 game, but the reality would be a lot of those appearances would be as substitute which if you looked at minutes played would give you a more attractive stat. I still loved MJ not just for his skillset but for all the work he did off the pitch as well as being a quite articulate spokesperson.

Actually 52 goals in 206 appearances over all comps which is better than one in four. If you want league as AJ wants it's is 41 goals in 116(47) appearances which is still around one in four. Writing off development time as AJ is doing is being disingenuous. All players take different times to develop. It's the end product that counts and MJ has been a very good one for us.
