Greetings. A little about the Senior Reds.
It's not true that we are a lot of old fogeys sitting around talking about the good old days. TBF supporting Exeter doesn't have a lot of good days to talk about. We charge a subscription fee of £5 a year, although the vast majority pay more that this and we get donations, even from ex players so we do have a bit of money to use for the good of the club. Here's some of what we've done this year.

As in previous season, part of the members subscriptions and donations are used to make donations to Exeter City appeals and good causes,

So far this season we have made the following:
  • Sponsoring Under 16 academy player - this season Aiden Bown £360
  • Contribution to Fanzone canopy appeal £150
  • Purchase of a bench for the Fanzone £375
  • Contribution to Exeter City Museum Trust £100
  • We will also be making a donation to the Exeter City Women's team.
There really is no age limit in our group. I suppose you could say it's longevity in supporting City. So if you are eg 38 and been supporting City for 30 years you'd be more than welcome to join our group. Most of the meetings with ex players, members of staff etc are always open to anyone who wants to come along.
I'm pleased on a personal level that we are purchasing a bench for the new Fanzone. I was one of those who suggested it, not being able to stand for very long these days.

All supporters are welcome to come to the John Lewis Trust Suite on the evening of Thursday 13th June, when Abbie Britton and Dave Gribble will be giving what has become an annual update on the progress of the Exeter City Women's team. This year will be more than an update - it'll be a celebration!

Abbie and Dave will be looking back over the last 12 months, a time during which the team played 22 league games, won 20, drawing the other 2 against their closest rivals, and thus ending the season with 62 points out of a possible 66 with a goal difference of +100. Now if that's not worth celebrating, then I don't know what is!

They also proved they can potentially hold their own in the higher league by comfortably beating Billericay on their own ground in the National Cup before narrowly losing to a strong Derby County side, and by beating Plymouth Argyle in the final of the local equivalent. All those sides from the higher level.

Abbie will hopefully bring both trophies with her on the evening.

Doors will open at 6pm in the John Lewis Trust Suite for the usual refreshments and social chat, with the bar open downstairs. The meeting itself will start at 7pm.

ALL SUPPORTERS ARE WELCOME,
so please come along and show your appreciation for all the hard work that's gone into making the season so successful.

This meeting has been organised by the Senior Reds.
