A bit off thread but still slightly relevant. When Jack Charlton was Manager of Sheff Weds from 1978/83 on a couple of occasions early in his time as Manager, he brought the team down to Devon for pre season, staying at and using the facilities of, The Royal Marines at Lympstone. This came about because, at the time, the fitness trainer for Weds was an ex RM PTI called Tony[Taff] Tomms who, although being a fairly good standard Rugby player, having played for Roslynn Park, RN & Combined Services, was more of a fitness guru. The team lived in the same type of Barrack Rooms as the Recruits and ate in the Main Galley!

A couple of games called off in L2 already despite both Crewe and Rochdale having pitch covers.

Going to be -4 tonight so hope our covers do the trick.

Positively "balmy" - according to Exeter Airport Metar it was -5 last night.
Dr David's regular Saturday morning report should make interesting reading.

Brief addendum: The local Westcountry weather has just predicted -7 for tonight 😱. But at least no snow is forecast so we don't need to bring a shovel this time!

How is the pitch looking? A few games called off already in the EFL.
