Re: Spider month

I don't much for their treatment of Hobos.
Seeing as a Hobo Spider could kill you, anything that preys on them has got to be welcome.

They seem to have gone quiet this year.

Bumper year coming up this year I reckon. Cool late summer will drive a lot of beasties into our homes. I had to evict a particularly large and loud grasshopper/cricket* last night.

*What is the difference anyway?

Grasshoppers are also better at Kung Fu.

Hmm, I reckon this was a Great Green Grasshopper. It had a loud enough chirp to make me think the batteries had run out in the smoke alarm!

A rather large spider is occupying Voodoo's Lounge (outside cat house). I painted it today but didn't have the heart to vacate it especially if it deters it from looking for alternative accommodation.

Seen 2 massive f*ckers around the house in the last 2 days.
Not sure what sort they are, but faster than usain bolt, with long black legs and body.
i'm fine with slow moving spiders but these ones scare the sh*t out of me for some reason!
Does anyone know what time of year they dissapear from the house?
