Getting wild out there now. I'm waiting for a call from work to verify if the branch will be closed or not.

Are you people staying home, carrying on as normal or perhaps storm watching ?

Currently very light wind, sunny, in Wiltshire, Bill. Occasional strong bluster, you sense it building though. Supposed to be walky football this afternoon, indoors session, but 12 miles away, hmmm. Radio reporting St Ives is being hammered right now "trees close to horizontal" eek.

Do you remember the time when these were just called windy days?

Now they have to have a name. Or someone else to blame - "beast from the East", "heatwave from Sahara".

And the Met, after getting burnt in 1987, now have to put the fear of God into everyone, just in case like.
