Yes , had some Arsenal players at the time in it including , I think, ex Exeter City‘s Cliff Bastin.
On another note , Cliff Bastin was my brother in laws father’s [ who also played for City] , best man in the thirties. I’ve got a feeling the game was supposed to be between Arsenal and Brentford , last time I watched it must have been twenty odd years ago.It’s a murder / comedy I think.

I had a photo of Cliff and Jimmy Gumm , brother in laws father somewhere , but can’t find it to attach.Just the wedding account from the early thirties.Jimmy played for City on the wing.

I don't know if anyone has come across this before, but I stumbled onto it doing some other research . .
A friend of my old Dad went to the pictures to see this. This was in the early afternoon. He saw the whole programme, enjoying it so much that he saw it twice more, and didn't leave the cinema until chucking-out time! :D

Those were the days folk queued for hours in the rain to see a film. Only a few had tv , no DVD’s , streaming , YouTube.You just looked forward all year in anticipation of a film coming round
