Mourinho, wenger, Ferguson, klopp etc.

The list is endless of fantastic managers who either weren't good pros or professional themselves.

Tisdale isn't going anyway because we have our strongest footing under him.

Right. Cos there's no other manager in the UK that can reach the heights of mid-table mediocrity as Tisdale has done.

My statement was more to reflect that in the 9 years under him, this is our strongest year in terms of relative financial power.

And yet we're still 13th with 1 win in 7

In all seriousness if Tisdale moved on soon I honestly think that Mark Cooper would be the perfect replacement to come in and shake the place up a bit and move our club forward!

Thank you for pointing out how will Tisdale did to get us to league 1 with a smaller relative budget than we have now! Didn't realise you were a fan of Tis

(facepalm)(facepalm)(facepalm). You'll be questioning next whether an ex-car mechanic would have a real understanding of a motor engine.
It's a genuine question that you appear incapable of understanding. You said the guy understood the game because he was once a pro. You've watched football all your life - are you saying some snot nosed 16 year old five minutes into his first contract knows more about the game than you do?

I think the lack of understanding, or knowledge, is on your part. Lee Power had a ten year career as a pro footballer. The comparison (if you'd read the comment properly) was between him and other chairman who have thought they could come in and manage a side. Power, quite clearly, is better qualified with a better understanding of doing so than your average football chairman. He'd even managed Cambridge in a similar situation before he got involved in running Swindon from the boardroom.

He has no more understanding of managing a team than any other manager - his ex player status is irrelevent.
