Hi Al

...

Questions

Have you ever been to an away game. Zillions.

Have you ever been to a trust meeting. Yes,plenty

What skills do you have that will take us forward now. Please see the detail in the OP above

CTID
As Al refuses to answer these questions on here himself, I've inserted the correct answers in bold above

(wasn't that difficult or harmful to answer these straightforward questions, was it?)

This thread is exactly why you’ll never get voted in.
😂😂 Goes onto a forum as candidate and then doesn’t use the function of said forum, which is to discuss things. Pointless even starting the thread, no one is going to vote your way if you can’t engage!

I notice that one other candidate has come online to ask for votes. I am available on here to ask questions. I have put out a video message on Facebook forums, a few days ago, another forum that reaches many more online Grecians, I attend the vast majority of games home and away. I have engaged with a vast number of members face to face over the last few weeks. Over the last two years I have attended and contributed to Trust meetings, and it has given me a great understanding of how the Trust works in 2022, and the people involved. I have supported a number of Trust events and successes. I am open to any questions on a private message or any safe forum, I will come back to you. I presently have COVID and I am working off a low personal battery, but I am trying to stay engaged in the process.

Good luck to all candidates, please read my manifesto online and question answers: https://www.weownexetercityfc.co.uk/post/trust-election-hustings-and-candidate-questions

Please also also read my manifesto:

MANIFESTO: Alistair Yates

Passion, honesty, integrity, and business acumen

Please vote for me, I have supported the club 48 years and I am a season ticket holder, I attend majority of matches, and have attended most Trust meetings over the last few years. I have been an active member of the Trust contributing regularly on feedback and ideas, I am one of the few members that attend regular meetings. While there are always areas of improvement, the Trust has created a solid base and have transformed the club over the last 20 years. My reason for asking for your vote, is to contribute and offer my skill sets to the Trust. I have the business experience leading large scale transformation projects and changes in the supply chain arena. I believe I have specific corporate governance skills that would help. Currently with a significant warehouse build project underway, I know I have direct experience and skills to support.

For the last 12 years I have worked as a Company Director of my own continuously profitable business, specialising in programme and project management. I lead multi-million project deliveries, covering warehouse builds and renovation and agile continuous improvement projects. I change processes, people structures, systems, and processes with businesses I work with. I am engaged by two businesses at present to run change programmes. I have specific skills in project finance governance and business improvement.

As a family man, I believe over the last few years I have matured greatly in my views on life, and I am sold into the ‘Community’ football model. I am now able to reduce my working hours down on my business and am fortunate that I can manage my own time. I have supported the club all my life, with my family now growing up fast, I have time to commit and expertise.

We must create a Trust that moves with the times, that invests in key areas of the club for the future, we need to maximise non-matchday revenues, to enable us to grow. We must also manage costs effectively, while expanding the supporter offering at the club. I have a creative mind to add to the task. The club has some testing times in League ‘1’, we need to ensure the club continues to progress. We must continue the legacy for future generations.

If you like what I have said please vote for me. Thanks for your time.

AL Yates (Lifelong City Fan)

Al, whereas I don't doubt your passion or commitment to the club, your manifesto reads like a stream of consciousness. Additionally, your second sentence in the OP suggests you are available to answer questions, whilst your final sentence says the complete opposite.

Anyway, my question. In your manifesto you lean heavily on your employment experience, which appears to be around project management of warehouse builds. You also list a series of things that you feel the Trust should be doing (maximising income etc). Can you tie the two together please, and outline how your experience puts you in a position to advise/steer/deliver on the things that you feel the Trust should be doing?

Thanks for the question and interaction. I am presently really suffering with COVID, which is why I am limiting activity, as you PMd me privately the answers are only 3 games missed games home and away from the Midlands. I attend all the Trust meetings online, as a member and a helper. I also play active role in some activities behind the scenes linked to ticketing and other areas. I have a wealth experience of the club going back 48 years, as a sponsor, a fan and a member of exiles groups. Best Al
