The fantastic apocalyptic TV drama Survivors started on BBC1. One of the finest productions of the decade.
Lucy Fleming in this clip was the niece of writer Ian Fleming(1908-64)

Absolutely agree mate. And don't forget Talfryn Thomas as the oily Tom Price.
Brilliant series (or, at least the first couple of series were - tailed off a bit towards the end though). A "must watch" at the time and far, far better than the later remake.
Long lost now but I did also have a copy of the paperback novel based on the series. A bit like "The Exorcist" the written version was even more chilling than the visual one.
But as a concept (especially the opening titles) a scaringly accurate warning of the later, real life, story of COVID.

Talfryn Thomas(1922-82) was excellent in that first season.
The character Tom Price was at the centre of a moral dilemma for the group after a sexual motivated murder. The ‘eye for a eye justice’ was discussed as punishment. Interesting because the restoration of Capital Punishment was back on the agenda around that time. Following a few heinous murders & terrorist mass killings.
The character eventually perished in the fire at the end of the very first series iirc.
Prices last role was in Hi-De-Hi in a episode in the third series. It was broadcast just after his death.

David Neilson (Roy Cropper in Coronation St) was in a memorable episode of Survivors in the 2nd season, playing the leader of a Cult who were living on a Army Camp if my memory serves me correctly.

The remake around a decade ago was total rubbish unsurprisingly.

21st April 1972.

A bit of coverage of the penultimate Apollo mission. The last Apollo mission was later in the year-December.

Star Trek Picard: Just finished watching the final series and their series finale was just briliant, If you're into the Star Trek franchise or watching the earlier episodes of this, The final one of Picard is so well worth a watch. Loved every series of this show, Amazon have really upped the production of it and it shows. 10/10
