I think Cam could play the way GC wanted him to with some coaching. I just love Cam me and would love to see him grace SJP Again.
There's a balance to be struck between getting the 'type' of player and the quality of player. Haaland doesn't seem to quite fit the Guardiola mould, but then it's a decent idea for that mould to be a little bit flexible... more so for a club of our resources. Cam was outstanding for us and would be a great signing... players will always have strengths and weaknesses. Doubt he'll come back though... he'll get much better offers, financially, I would imagine.

Agree 100% that I don't think he would come back, but if there is a chance, we need to try our best imho. Cam on a 3 year deal would give the GK Position some real consistency with a very a top end league one keeper.

Interesting hearing Gary saying he knows nothing about goalkeeping and left it to Kevin Miller in a recent interview/possibly podcast or words to that effect

Cam won’t fit GC’s style of playing out from the back. It’s a bad call.

He is a cracking keeper, but he wasn’t very composed with the ball at his feet.

But back on topic. I can see Vils extending his contract and heading out for another loan imo.

I imagine big Kev will already have given Marcus his list of targets for next season

You do know they play in the champions league? Mid-table l1 to Celtic is a massive step forwards tor Vil.
How many games will celtic play in the champions league, two? The english championship is a far better league than the Scottish Prem. Vil would have a much better chance of furthering his career in the Championship than being a forgotten man in the Scottish Premier, like a butland for example.
