Not exactly last song I've listened to but here's what the BBC are calling the 11 albums that defined 1994, What do you reckon? Some real good ones there.

If I could only keep one it would be Music for the Jilted Generation 😍 I listened to Jeff Buckley an awful lot. I was more into ‘grunge’ than Britpop

M People infamously won the Mercury music prize that year 🙃 (although some of the albums listed above were entered for the 1995 prize - won by Portishead)

This was also a tremendous album. Still sounds great despite the terrible lyrics (very ‘incel’)

I’d never heard anything like that Portishead album before. I remember liking it at the time but haven’t listened for years
