quite a few new names to me - Stanford and Simmons in the starting line up and Layer on th e bench. Anyone know anything about them? Are they U16s?

The U18's were in action against Southend United. Was actually played at Garon Park (3G) due to the weather.

I presume he has been the trialist mentioned in the recent team sheet.

I must confess, I hadn't previously heard the name Ali McGivney, our Head of Academy Recruitment, but if he was also involved in spotting Cheick then he appears to be doing a good job.
