Displaying my ignorance here but despite considering myself a cricket fan I’ve never heard of his name until yesterday. Surprised it’s never come up in the thousands of hours I’ve spent watching or listening to cricket (unless I’ve missed it)
Seems he was quite a big figure in the game

Leighton James, Former Burnley, Swansea and Wales winger dies aged 71. RIP
One of the most exciting players to watch in the 1970s. Should have gone to the World Cup in 1982, but Wales stuffed up against Iceland and he missed out. Played at SJP in the 1980s near the end of his career, when Burnley had fallen to Div 4.
