Yes,it was..Metallic paint.
I bought it in November 1980 from the garage (now long gone)on Polsloe Rd which was just down from the former Nichols Centre.
Yep metallic paint as was my Tawny brown Mark I Escort.

In RaWZ we trust....Amen.
A huge hike in toll charges(30%) for anyone using the Tamar Bridge.
Traffic levels using the crossing are at 90% of pre pandemic levels apparently.

Why are there no toll charges in Scotland or Wales, but in England there are still many ?

Ford today have announced that the Fiesta is to be discontinued as it moves to more SUV type EV's. Shame that, Great seller and I'm sure many of us have owned one over the years, I had a yellow Mk1 version back in the 80's, Lovely little car.

Sad but a sign of the times. It’s hard to package the hybrid or EV battery packs into a hatchback body but small SUV offers more options.

I've a Hybrid Hyundai Kona, Its not much bigger than the Fiesta but i guess its seems SUV's are what the people are buying, Saloons and Hatchbacks might be coming to an end.

Funny but over the years, aside from a couple of vans as company vehicles early in my working years I’ve never owned a Ford. The closest I’ve got would be the 2ltr Zetec engine I’ve got in my Tiger in my profile pic.

Considering how Ford were so popular for so many years that is quite strange you haven't.

True. However, when your BiL runs a SEAT franchise you’d be mad to look elsewhere.

We still run a ford focus now in its 15th year (as our only car). We said 6 years ago we'd get another car but only once this one died. And it never has, not even come close...it just runs and runs. I'll be devastated when it does die; attached isn't the word.

Is it a Petrol or Diesel engine ?

Oil changes every year regardless of mileage & cam belt replacements as per manufacturers spec is a great help to keeping older motors on the road.
Lots of nonsense about emissions & changing cars because of that issue. The carbon footprint of producing a new car car outweighs keeping a older model on the road apparently.
