Their front 3 are lethal. Regardless of who plays. If Azaz is out, they still have plenty of options. Mumba is a real threat too on the right hand side. Thankfully Sparkes has been one of our consistent performers this season on that side, along with Hartridge.

I hope we start the game with a real intensity and not allow them to get on top of us. If we can get an early goal, we're in with a great chance.

And to keep it on the thread track…

Highest total attendance between Exeter & Plymouth home and away league games I believe is:-

03/02/1951 - Argyle (H) - 20,000
23/09/1950 - Argyle (A) - 24,727
= 44,727

Intriguing that Argyle still have an 100% home record in the league hopefully we can do something about that on Monday….Fingers crossed Cheick will be back in contention and we have Jamal between the posts.

Going to be a very, very tough game and without sounding really negative if we can come away from there having given a good account of ourselves and not been stuffed I'll be relatively OK.

So a 2 nil defeat but we were in the game and that's OK?

We really don't need to fear them. They've started the season well but that's all it is, we're in the same division for a reason, and it's very realistic to think we can go there and win. We're not playing Man City away we're playing Plymouth, a team who are notorious under achievers throughout their history, who think they're bigger than they are, and who are quietly sh!tting themselves that their good form is about to end against their nearest and dearest.

Caldwell will rally the troops and our effort, desire and attitude will most definitely not be a problem. Players like Brown, Nombe, and Stanno will relish a big game and won't be overawed. Our defence is solid, even more so if Diabate returns, and not conceeding away to teams like Barnsley and Derby have proven this solidity.

They're favourites, they're expected to win, the pressure is on them, we'll be free to play our stuff and snatch the victory with a last minute winner. You heard it here first.

We'll be talking about this win for ages, well a couple of days anyway. Won't be as good an away day as Barnsley a few weeks ago.

Seem to remember in 2015 Tis surprising us / them by starting Ollie Watkins for the first time in our famous 2:1 win with a Ryan Harley brace (they renamed the ground Harley Park in his honour !)

Could we spring another surprise by starting Sonny or Spencer (or both!) ?

With Watkins on the right side of a midfield diamond! Not a position he'd ever played before or since(?).

Lots to be said re square pegs etc. So that's MJ in goal on Monday then?
