It doesn’t matter whether he has allegedly hit a man or a woman, he has let himself down, the Club down and us. Does it send out the right signals to the other players that he’s not allowed to play by the Club but can train and mix with them in an official capacity still?! Never mind infringing this or that if you are going to take a morale stance you can’t pick and choose what it applies to. He’s one of my favourite current players but has put himself in a situation that is unacceptable and should now have his contract paid up and be released otherwise it looks like a token gesture by the Club not to play him but keep him hanging around just to stay fit and then be released when his contract runs out. It draws a line in the sand about what’s expected and shows the consequences of getting into situations that are totally avoidable.

Agree totally. Move him on as soon as possible and that will give him an opportunity to find another club - that is fair to us and to him.

Totally avoidable so you were there then.

He’s not playing because he has admitted to assaulting a woman; in whatever form that is it’s enough not to be representing our club. It’s always been a simple choice for the club and what they want to communicate as a brand/pillar of the community.
This, pretty much, is all that needs to be said. Whether he wants to or is in the right frame of mind to play is entirely irrelevant. Not sure why people are having a hard time grasping this.

My comment was based solely upon the fact that Brown has pleaded guilty, so absolutely nothing to do with ESP. :giggle:
