And of course it was '£7m rising to £10m'. We are also entitled to 20% of the extra £3m (ie 600k) in add ons if they pay out.

It is very likely that a large chunk of that extra £3m pays out if Leeds get promoted to the Premiership - hence why Nick Hawker said at one forum that there were reasons for City fans to want Leeds to succeed.
Whilst I am no fan of Leeds, then being promoted ultimately is good for our bank balance and also for the prospect of Ampadu being sold down the line if he continues his form into the premier league, I will hope they get promoted to help us out

I read that as "Ampadu eyes date with dentistry" - he could make an absolute fortune!

One of the best 21st century things I like about being an ECFC fan… I get to support all our old academy players (and increasingly non academy players), that have gone onwards and upwards. If it’s not to be us winning, at least it can be them. From George and Deano, to Archie and Ethan, Ben and Alfie, Matt Jay and Ollie… I could go on and on… I have skin in a lot of games, and competitions, at all levels of football, national, continental and international.

Being an ECFC fan no longer has weeks off, and I love it.

Me too. And also games where there is interest on both sides - the next one of which is tomorrow night when Ilmari and Vil face off against Ethan in the Euros play offs. In the Championship with 6 players at 5 clubs there's usually a clash between ECFC academy graduates most weeks (and League One similarly).

That game is on S4C (BBC Iplayer) for anyone who wants to watch it. I might tune in via I Player

S4C is probably a Welsh language commentary.

It is, but it is the only free way to watch. Otherwise it is on viaplay
