4,00 Trust members isn't bad, but I would hope we could get to 5,000 soon.

It would be interesting to know what proportion of those are people who attend games on a regular basis. I would suggest that a lot of growth is coming from outside that group, and so the question ought to be "What more can we do to persuade regular attenders to become members of the Trust?" At £2 a month it's not exactly a financial problem considering the amount that people pay to attend. Just a thought.

I must say that I haven't noticed a Trust stall at matches very often.

They originally moved the stall to the old Club reception but now dont seem to run it as regularly. My experience is that it was not particularly effective as an engagement tool as it only really attracted interest from the usual (already engaged) fans and Trust members. They ought to try andvreplace it with something different. Perhaps more organised focus groups. I'm not sure a match day works for this type of stuff.

History tells us incumbents are generally re-elected in these contests

Can't we just encourage a couple more to join :) Perhaps the Club could incentivise people joining by offering a free Big bank ticket or a scarf or something to break through the milestone :)
