It's blind naivety, some will back the manager regardless as it's the proper thing to do and what's good for the goose and all that.

People were dead against letting Tis leave when he clearly did all he could that fanbase was divided and I remember then stating the obvious that Tisdale ran his course you'd get shot down,at least he had credit in his locker and still managed to turn a fanbase, Gary's been here five minutes and has dived it completely so that's worth something...

The sad truth is the saying "little old Exeter" may as well be put in the club mantra and put under the badge under Semper Fidelis, and a few fans buy into this like the board as they are glad we're here and not in the conference and it'll probably take that again to turn these people.
As much as Tisdale divided the fans ( in the end) he certainly had ( as you say - credit in the bank) taking us out of the conference and gaining back to back promotions.

Id say Caldwell could manage back to back relegations if he stayed here ! But as said, the board put their fate in him and he’s not going anywhere.

The process was put in place and overseen by the club's recruitment specialist who if he is still in place masquarades as the club's Chief Executive Officer. Perhaps you could contact him and ask him for a fans Forum to explain the process to us all. I'm sorry to say that as we havent heard anything from him for about six months I have yet again forgotton his name
Tipper stood up and spoke at the AGM. October? So only 2 months ago. Terribly well spoken chap, full of good ideas etc. NO ACTION. Have to conclude that a bullshitter has been responsible for appointing a bullshitter to the management position.

How about Caldwell out, Tisdale back!…….. he understands the ethos, has an excellent relationship with JT and signed perennial fans favourite and the true Captain Sweeney and still our most successful manager ever. Get the part time CEO to negotiate the deal and obviously this time the roller would include the option to get rid because everyone knows we can afford to sack the manager whenever we want to but not necessarily when it would seem to be the obvious thing to do………

Maybe so but it’s part time and costs us nothing apart from a small flat in Topsham and travelling expenses from Kent.

I know you picked this up from day one and you were right. It’s a poor appointment, assume he was a shoe in. Absolute disgrace.

Caldwell has to go, the atmosphere at the game today was toxic and the football was slow, turgid and boring. Do the club and trust boards not see how desperate things are and how much we need a change? If the change isn’t made soon, we are heading for relegation and League Two!

I agree the football was tragic. I didn’t sense a toxic atmosphere though. General resignation to our fate yes but toxic, no.

it should be toxic though and that sums up why the board get away with it.

Well , whatever , but on no account let Coco the Clown anywhere near the Club cash cookie jar this window because he can’t be trusted to spend it wisely. And by the look of it even a new forward or two won’t save us now given the carp style of play he’s infllicted on the team. We’re going down all right , any new manager should prepare to be in League Two next season whoever he is. As for Tis , wouldn’t personally want him back but he’s streets ahead of Coco.

As evidenced in the Trust election results. Trust Members are satisfied with the status quo.
