Unfortunately it is looking like it will need the intervention of the rain gods at Taunton to prevent Glos recording their first Championship win of the season.
Meanwhile in Kent, where if it was a boxing match the ref would have stopped the contest already, there is a rain delay holding up the Essex lads imperious march to victory.

This is maybe a dumb question but why isnt Potts in the T20 world cup squad?
He hasn't been in a T20 squad yet for England and has only played one ODI. We also have T20/ODI specialists like Chris Jordan, David Willey and seemingly now Reece Topley who have all been long term members of the squad.

Gloucs lead by 341 going into the fourth day. Very surprising that Taunton has stayed clear of the rain.

Cidermen 11 for 0 at lunch. Rain. If they manage to lose it from this position they deserve to be relegated.

A washout. The draw improves the Cidermen's position in the table.

No further play so declared a draw. Lifts Somerset up to 7th above Kent and Warwickshire, and with matches against both these sides to come their fate is entirely within their own hands. Don't fark it up lads !

Surprise, surprise. Maybe three days will be more than enough to see a positive result at the Oval.

Proteas are a really poor batting outfit.

An inauspicious start by the Cidermen against Warwickshire in their fight against relegation. 24 for 2 after 16 overs.

This match is huge with both these teams scrapping it out at the wrong end of the table. Rain intervened earlier.

Meanwhile crushing victory for England at The Oval and series win after abysmal batting throughout the game from South Africa.
