Some big runs being scored around the country, though not, alas, by us. One report says it's partly due to the Kookaburra ball currently in use - soon to be replaced by the Dukes ball, which has more of a seam.

Yes commentators have been making that point.

I think the bat has had too much of an advantage looking at scores generally but there are a number of matches boiling up where the last day could be interesting

The lead to overs remaining now gets interesting. Currently 124 ahead with Sorry having 55 overs to get them if the innings ended right now.
