England beat Namibia in an 11-over match, reduced to 10 by further rain.

And then the Crims do the decent thing and put England through at the expense of the plucky Sweaties *snigger*

Must have been some squeaky bums in the England camp earlier this morning when the Strines were needing nearly 13 an over off 7 overs to see off the Scots.

Strines dropped 6 catches which was looking a bit suspicious.

Some good rearguard action to get to 193

Another good performance in the field, and an excellent result.

Bit like the Sorry game, where they got a winning score through the efforts of a couple of batsmen.

Will Smeed is now Somerset's record T20 six-hitter, according to cricinfo. (y)

At 123/7 when Mr Smeed‘s slogging came to an end Somerset were rocking and Glamorgan probably thought they were about to end a long run of defeats at the hands of the Cidermen. Craig Overton and van der Merwe then built an excellent match saving partnership of sensible batting mixed with power hitting that posted a score that was at least par and topped off with a last ball six from Meredith off the only ball he faced.

Somerset bowled really well from the outset especially Meredith who bowled a wicket maiden. 8/2 left the Welsh in deep trouble and after a woeful power play they were always miles behind the DLS. They never really recovered with a crushing defeat duly inflicted.

Quite a lot of banter with Marnus Labuschagne in front of the Hildreth stand. A lot of the crowd did not think that his catch hopping back over the boundary rope was fair. It looked absolutely fine to me.
