Like I said to one of the other dads who, like me, was stood there freezing watching the boys' rugby training this morning: is it worse if it's zero degrees and no breeze or ten degrees with a wind blowing as it was today?

I'm sure it felt a lot colder this morning than it did yesterday morning.

A real mixture of weather here today (Sunday) but no sign of those gale force winds that were forecast (thankfully). We've had a few light showers, sunshine, then cloud! A light covering of fresh snow on the Lake District mountains.

Absolutely chucking it down here this morning. Has been since I got up at 6.30am. Still raining two hours later.

Same here in the not quite so sunny south west. Apparently it's supposed to clear up later...

Some roads near me were starting to flood this morning. Luckily the weather started to ease up as I ventured on my morning commute.

This weather is so bloody depressing and grim - I hate it - cold, icy, windy, rainy. Flippin fed up with it.

I hope it cheers up for Sunday's match - please give us a break.
