Maybe he really was a zombie?
Maybe - if he was, his daughter was particularly well balanced given what she must have been through.

I must have had 50 kids round at my house looking for sweets tonight - insert your own Gary Glitter / Jimmy Saville joke here.

Don't get Halloween parents teach their kids all year not to talk to strangers or except sweets yet for one night only they take them round the streets openly knocking on strangers doors and excepting treats (facepalm)

Being in a rural village, it's a bit hit and miss. Sometimes no-one turns up, other times maybe 1 or 2 very small groups of kids. One year I was completely unprepared and had nothing whatsoever to offer the assorted ghouls on the doorstep. Their response was a jolly 'Oh, that's fine, don't worry. We hope you have a nice week anyway' and off they went. We get a better class of zombies around here.

Round our way the Halloween etiquette is to only knock on the houses with a Pumpkin outside which living in Braunton is quite a few.My 2 kids got through that many E numbers in their sweets just before bed they were bouncing off the walls.Gone off it a bit tbh.

Putting the fun and the mental back into fundament
As a Heavy Metal fan I of course will be

Worshiping at Satan's alter
Wearing Black
Digging up The Dead
Bringing back to Life a long dead black Cat
Sacrificing virgins
Drinking the warm blood of a goat
Turning into a vampire at sundown
and of course listening to Black Sabbath very very loudly all night!!

Long Live 'Rock'!!
So did you manage all that in one evening?

Please ban me
I took the batteries out of the doorbell and sat in the dark for three hours.

Better than last year. The Old Bill gave me a bit of a talking to.

Apparently writing "Paedo" in large letters above your own door is great for keeping the trick or treaters away, but rather encourages the vigilantes.

You've also got to remember to clean it off before the family next visit.
