There’s genuine interest.

Slightly surprised as thought like a previous post mentioned he would more likely end up back in L2, on the other-hand I would have kept him here as a squad player as I still think he offers a lot in attack

Had ample opportunities to prove himself but lacks real pace. Didn’t Taylor say he had to step up or his time would be up?! Matt Jay and Tim Dieng were better players but they were moved on. It’s nonsense that because he’s ‘one of our own’ it makes him special. If we want to be competitive and survive in League One we need better players and the ones we have improve and make us money, the most important thing for us going forward.

I liked Dieng. He was great for us in League Two. He was never going to repeat his goal-scoring record for us in League One though and I think he would increasingly have become a periphery figure last season had he stayed.
