From RossAftbl on X who is pretty reliable:

"Every single Reading player is up for sale, every player is for on ‘the transfer list’. Tom Holmes to Luton is pretty much done, championship clubs are looking at Femi Azeez, Guinness-Walker, Charlie Savage, Lewis Wing. Premier league clubs and clubs abroad are looking at Caylan Vickers. Reading might be lucky to have a senior squad by the end of January."
Just as well they have loads of u21's then. Their professional squad is massive and is the issue they have. They have tried to continue with a PL size development squad alongside a normal size "senior" squad that their finances do not currently match.

Stevenage FC said Ollie Gatfield, 19, died in a car accident on the way home from its away game against Shrewsbury. 🙏🏼

After bringing on a ST they signed 3 days ago! Still time for a ST to come in before Cambridge…

Well there's one club that don't just accept being beaten when they go behind.

To be honest Burton have looked good in parts this evening. Struggling to see many worse teams than us this season…

Edit, just cheered a Derby goal. My wife was very confused.

Burton the latest club to sign a striker. Beat a 'host of clubs' to him, too...

Took him three minutes to score. Tidy finish too.

Derby made hard work of that game,I wouldn’t fancy them in a play off game against anyone half decent!

I think the long-term injuries we've been dealing with are catching up with us, one or two who were performing at or close to their ceiling are dropping off in performance-level (linked to the injuries), we lost arguably our best performer so far for the rest of the season last week, and our talisman is desperately out of nick. We've gone through a bit of a rocky patch in recent weeks and that now appears to have started to hit collective confidence. Apart from that we're good ;-)

We need one or two to come back (of those who aren't out for the season), and a couple of inspired signings in the window. This is the first properly rocky spell we've had under Mousinho - approaching his anniversary as head coach. I think we'll find out more about him over the next month or so than we have before. He's done well up to now, and his post-match comments reflect what we're seeing on the pitch (with less swearing) - the litmus test will be how he galvanises the players and whether he can match other managers tactically when teams get the better of us.
At least we don't have to listen to the "Sparkes was God" crew anymore.
Hear Orient tore him a new one.
