Talking of booing crowds, Hearts were losing 2-0 at half time to mid-table Dundee the other night and got booed off the pitch. They are 3rd in the SPL and in line for a European place. They won the game 3-2 in the end.
So maybe you can argue that being booed turned out to be constructive and had a positive result ? :)

Northampton POF revisited yesterday

"This is no disrespect to the teams that have beaten us this season, there’s a certain approach and type of game, a less clean game you might say, where a certain type of physicality is needed and we’re short in that department."

Not what you'd normally associate with Northampton, usually the polar opposite

It was Burton the Gas lost to, just a few days after being beaten by Fleetwood....

Sorry, got completely the wrong end of what you're saying. I thought you meant it was Northampton fans on about their own side.

I’m wonder what MT has been asked to achieve/targets for the end of this season and going forward?

I would guess this season to finish as high as he can and next season look for a promotion push via the playoffs.

Where do Rovers sit with, regards to their budget vs other L1 clubs? They seem to be a mid table team with a large-ish budget, a few ex Prem/Champ players won’t come cheap.

Their budget is apparently top six. The owner and Barton basically confirmed this earlier in the season. They also had a bid of 700K accepted for Clarke-Harris in the summer so certainly have money! This figure was confirmed on Darragh MacAnthony (the Peterborough owner's) Podcast this week.

You mean that bid that they chickened out of at the last minute "due to an administrative error" ? ;) Even with their new investors, Matt has had to prune down the size of the squad, and wait to bring Wayne Carlisle in. Instead of lashing out on Clarke-Harris in the January window they paid out a fraction of the amount on the lad from Grimsby, and some other youngsters on loan signings.
