Strange, he was clearly v close to joining us. I wonder what happened.

Maybe we had more than one iron in the fire for a new central defender, the possibility of signing Will Aimson became imminent and as we only needed one we chose a permanent deal for him rather than Pollock on loan.
Well that’s what I’d like to believe anyway i.e. us choosing who we fancied most and suited us best and then making that signing rather than someone who we were keen to have turning us down (which appears to have been a frequent occurrence in the recent past).
