Craig Noone has done well for himself since playing for Burscough.
......and we all know who recommended him to City eh? ;)

He was/is a brilliant player, it was almost as though the ball was glued to his boot.

Sean McConville formerly seen at Skelmersdale United, now with Accrington Stanley was another one. Plus Joel Byrom then at Clitheroe, now with Northampton Town.

Kevin Phillips is the best example (until Vardy). Dropped down to Baldock Town after being released by Southampton. Played for England and won Europes Golden Boot
I used to watch baldock town when I was a kid. Ironically Philips was a full back for baldock and only played up front one day when there was a player crisis and there were no recognised strikers available. The rest as they say is history. Sadly the club no longer exists as they went bust.

Yeah, folded 2001, ground now an Astro for Hitchin and Luton. Last game was county cup win over Ware. There is a Baldock side that grew out of the ashes of the excellent Youth set up
