Great win. Well done GC, staff, players and fans. So good to finish above Bristol Rovers. Nothing against KMT but I wouldn't like Rovers even if the Del Lai Rama was manager. Sorry to all you Rovers lovers in the City fanbase but that's just the way it is.
I stand to be corrected but I think 10 (TEN) away wins is a post war record of the 3rd tier and 4th tier of a City team. We had 9 under KMT in the promotion season and 4 or 5 (I think) in the Championship season. That is a brilliant achievement. Away wins were as rare as Unicorn sh!t not very long ago. I remember asking Gerry Francis what he would do about our away record which (which wasn't) very good and I don't think his answer was to 'follow the process'. Maybe it should of been. Good being a Grecian at the moment.
There have only been three seasons where City have won more than ten away games. All three seasons were in League Two (4th tier).

2012/13 - 11

in the 20th Century in 73 seasons of being in the Football League City had never won more than 8 away games in a season (achieved on 4 occasions). In the 21st century City have had 8 or more away wins in 11 of 16 seasons in the Football League and in 5 of the 6 seasons in the Conference. The arrival of luxury coach travel and flybe could be argued to be the amongst the most significant factors in making City into a competitive football club.

1 x Yellow card for Guthrie shoving Woods to the floor. 2nd yellow for feigning injury (in effect diving) to get a player sent off.
Red card for woods for intent.

That would have been the right outcome imo.

Amazing run we've been on. What a fantastic end to the rollercoaster of a season. Squad is looking healthier already next year and have a year buying into GC's philosophy. Add a few more experienced players to the mix, exciting times!!

I must admit that at 1-1 I thought we would lose.

I am probably in a minority of 1 here but I thought the ref had a good game. It's a straight red for the headbutt every time and that's not the ref's fault. The only decision he got wrong was the drop ball after the clash of heads which should have gone to City. The same thing happened in a Premier League game recently and that ref got pelters for it afterwards.
I've a feeling the ref was correct in giving it to the defending goalie when play stops in box. Seems unfair when we're in possession - but I see the point. Maybe the keeper should compelled to give the ball back...

Will's comments were interesting re the coaches not liking it when he moves forward, perhaps was made tongue-in-cheek. On the way forward before his goal he actually turned around to the bench looking for their assent to do so !

It made me smile to see him say that.

I watch the home games from a position just behind the home dugout. Caldwell frequently tells players they are in the wrong position. Earlier in the season this seemed to unsettle players. Lately they seem to heed the instruction and shift accordingly (some more hesitantly than others to be fair).

On Will's goal, he made a lot of ground to get in at the back post. When The Judge started his run Will outside the penalty area and giving away a good couple of yards away to his marker before getting in at the back stick

Guthrie's going to get such a welcome when he comes down to The Park!

To be fair him he played up to it in good jest after the final whistle. Northampton were doing their last home game wander round the ground and we all started up "Gutherie, Gutherie what's the score!?!?" to which we got a wave of recognition from him.

Scores a goal, gets a player on the other team sent off, gets MOM, what could possible go wrong?
