You're not wrong. In his time at Newcastle he managed to make Steve Bruce look like Pep Guardiola when compared to himself.

Remember him from his days as Wimbledon manager when I lived just down the road from Selhurst Park back in the 90s.
The Norwegian manager who followed him didn't last long.
