I'd love to see Grimes back on loan. He was superb when he played for us. Awesome left foot, always time on the ball, deadly from free kicks, enjoyed the tackle, fantastic range of passing. Out of all those that have moved on to bigger things, Moxey, Friend, Seaborne, Mackie, Tom, I felt Grimes was by far the best and the one that would truly make it.

What on earth happened to him? The Leeds fans say he's the worst player to ever wear their shirt! Unbelievable for a player that showed so much whilst with us.

A good deal for us at the time but I think, in reality, he was far from ready to move on. Not psychologically prepared for the big step up unfortunately. It might take him a long time to recover his momentum now. Just my opinion.

Minimum 3m plus add ons, or walk. 1 or 2 million just doesn't do it. Typical City fans talking down our own assets.
yep agreed, but u all know how much i thinkB-), and next time around perhaps we'll all be a bit more sussed

I tend to agree with this view. He is definitely talented, so perhaps it was a problem of attitude, maybe overconfidence, lack of confidence, or just an inability to adapt

Perhaps City fans have an over inflated opinion of the talents that some of our players possess...just a thought...

Gary Monk isn't a city fan... Also the other big clubs that wanted him and managers who picked him for England youth teams...

And maybe none of us share your continuously punctured view of the club. Most all of us find something to get excited about however small.

If only there was a manager of a lower-league club with the proven ability to pick up under-confident but gifted players and give them back their self-belief...
