VAR should not come to a wrong decision in clear cases. That is the whole point of having it.

As regards your second point, that is just a daft way of using/not using the technology properly.

Cricket and Rugby use these review systems really well. Why is Football so crap at it ?
Football in general isn't, just the English and Scottish Premier Leagues are.

I see that the referee Simon Hooper* and the VAR’s Michael Salisbury and Richard West are on the naughty step this weekend after the Wolves non penalty debacle.

* This is the imbecile (Copyright Jason H) who used to ref our games many years ago. He was useless then and it beggars belief that he refs Premiership games.

I appreciate that players signing for new clubs nearly always say one or two of the stock phrases on their arrival but the reported statement yesterday by Gonzalo Montiel appeared somewhat incongruous to me.
He’s won the Argentine Primera Division, several domestic cups and the Copa Libertadores when he was with River Plate.
Whilst at Seville he won the Europa League.
And to top it off he’s won the UEFA Cup of Champions, the Copa America and the World Cup with Argentina (scoring the winner in the penalty shootout in the latter).
Apart from saying he wants to play in the Premier League (fair enough for various reasons) he also said the he was “hungry to win things, to win trophies - now’s the time to show this”.
This season he’ll be playing for Nottingham Forest!

Watching Luton v. Liverpool on match of the day.

Everton deducted 10 points with immediate effect after breaching the PL's FFP rules.

Now likely to be sued by Leeds, Leicester and Burnley.

Possibly, Will this sanction be reduced, suspended or even reversed if Everton appeal?

Edit: Which the club have now signalled their intention to appeal.
