I'm sure many are blaming the ref for the result. Simply stating that it was a bad performance.

He fecked up the advantage for both teams umpteen times. The ref against bomo let too much go but at least it made for a good game!

90 minutes of City's ineptitude and the ref is blamed. A bad workman blames his tools. The Foreman and all his 11 players were dire and got what they deserved, another home defeat.
Try reading the thread. A number of people made the point that they weren't blaming him. Doh!

Was it a legal decision to tell Noble to get off the field to put his boot back on and then have to ask to get back on the field? Never seen that before and think he made up his own rules!

I'd be interested in the answer to that too.

In the run-up to that incident, Noble was booked for dissent. Fair enough. But the ref should be ignoring the rules just to make a point and I've never before seen a player sent from the field of play to put his boot back on.

Genuinely interested if this is within the rules.

Perhaps if he told him to get off AND F*CKING STAY OFF our cause might have been actually assisted. :mad:

Law 4 - The player's equipment;

If the fault to the player's equipment is dangerous, then the Referee should stop play and ask the player to leave the field of play immediately to correct his equipment.

The player only re-enters the field of play with the referees permission and only when the ball is out of play

[cited: http://www.corshamref.org.uk/players.htm#4. What Action should a Referee take:]

Other than that, can't comment on decisions made in the game.
