Wolf spiders galore at Stroud Towers this weekend, like a scene from arachnaphobia. Except no-one was screaming. Why does one always end up in the sink?

Who would live in a house like this?
I can report that both garden and garage are full of the little buggers.

We were visited by a woodlouse last night, but no spiders yet. They don't seem to like our house.

I've been told that putting some conkers down is good. No idea why.

Is that designed to attract small children/ attract spiders or repel spiders?

We need to know.

People say that having put conkers down in their room, the spiders no longer visit.

Spiders are afraid of conkers, that's common knowledge innit?

Might be a slip hazard though.

TBH I'd prefer a few spiders running around than conkers strewn about the place.
