It's not just due to the ownership structure or how the club is run. Sheffield Wednesday, Derby, Ipswich etc all will have average attendances of 20k+. Their matchday income is four times higher than ours. Our matchday income is by far our biggest revenue stream.
With their corporate set ups compared to ours, their match day income will be much higher than four times ours 👍

Completely agree - I want to avoid that by waiting last minute. Not signing Zanzala, which at the time I agreed with - is possibly looking like a mistake. He was no Daniels and had the fitness levels for League 1 if not the ability. Better than nothing or a kid on loan from Reading.
Zanzala isnt good enough. We know that. I'd rather we take a chance on someone who make work than sign a stop gap which we know doesnt have the ability.

I think we tried this once with Joe Auguste and very quickly found out he had no ability whatsoever……..

As is, we will not survive let alone compete in league one. Everyone knows that.
Everyone?

Can we not start using a different thread to discuss the training ground refurbishment.
yes, keep it on the lack of a goalie, we need another 400 posts on that

I’d rather Zanzala than another Phillips type personally.

So you're saying we should have gone with a striker who we know won't deliver goals? Hmmm would be better off not signing anyone and saving our wages for the 23/24 season in L2.

Bass is a very average signing, League 2 keeper. Could have got that months ago. Rolled the dice I guess. Such a shame Bishop and O’Leary both fell through and hopefully a learning process.

Might be worth picking up some other frees so at least we have padded the squad out a bit.
Not sure what there is to learn that matt taylor isnt already aware of max. That football clubs put themselves first even if that screws other clubs around? That a deal isnt a deal until something is agreed with a signature? I'm probably missing other things out.
