As so many have said a huge game with Swindon back to full strength as a strike force. Prior to last Tuesday night I would have said comparing the teams we were far the stronger in defence they were far the stronger in attack. Still feel the same although defend as we did against Vale particularly second half and we could be looking at having a very uncomfortable afternoon.

Personally I am very glad I am not in MT’s shoes. Defensively although Tom Parkes had probably his poorest game to date, he and his Centre back partner Aaron Martin have been immense during our recent long unbeaten run. So does MT just treat the Vale performance as a blip or make changes?

Johnny Maxted has also more than played his part in that run but I thought he could have done a lot better for their third goal. Although he could possibly be excused because those playing in front of him were in kamikaze mould and were giving him little or no cover or support. Having said that Lewis Ward is our first choice keeper and now fully fit.

Upfront Bowman’s performances have been disappointing for the last few games but on Tuesday night. although wrongly chalked off for in the Assocate’s opinion being offside, he took his chance very cooly and it was in my view one of the best finishes we have seen from him.

it is also too early to pass judgment on how well his partnership with Nicky Ajose will work but in recent games Lee Martin when called upon has performed very well and Matt Jay has also played well and scored regularly when playing in the EFL Trophy.

Promotion is not won in February but when we look back on the season, no matter where we finish, it will underline how important this game is and was.

In recent years we have had a number of games where the result has played a defining moment in our Club’s history both in the FA Cup and League, Richard Logan jumping to head the goal away at Rotherham which secured the runners up spot and promotion to League One, Ryan Harley’s strike late on at home to Huddersfield which saved us from relegation from League One and this one is up there with them.

Win and we are a point clear of Swindon at the top with a game in hand and will put down a massive marker for the rest of the season. UTC.

Swindon imploded at Colchester, in exactly the same way as we did at Port Vale.
Quite a coincidence that, both managers complaining about a twenty minute period that lost them the game.

Good point and don't forget Port Vale beat us 2-0 away on Boxing Day
We've been hit with injuries twice this season and both times we had a dip in form first In October then again Boxing Day and in January.

Getting beat at Newport was no surprise as we had no recognised centre halfs and the younger lads who played were bullied by their 7 six foot plus players on a pitch resembling an allotment and at Colchester during the week we controlled most of the game then later on played too deep and they punished us
Now we've got players back from injury plus we have got our two strikers back and new additions we're looking really strong again but wont underestimate Exeter as they always play good football and are always around the top seven.

Fantastic effort bringing around 2000 tomorrow and certainly getting lots of respect from Swindon fans

Sunny afternoon forecast, their away end is not covered, <sniff>. Those standing on the Stratton Bank should bring shades, sun hat and cream, don’t go getting burnt.

Expect a good performance from us tomorrow, of the top sides only Bradford have beaten us home or away this season. We've oot our best players all availablke and after Tuesday they will be fired up to win. Watch your backs Swindon railway workers, the City express is about to run you down and leave you as methaphorical lumps of meat clogging up our unrelenting steel wheels...….. Yuck.

We have no sugar daddy unlike Salford and since Power took over in 2013 we've basically been skint relying on loan players and it's only this season that he's decided to spend a bit to try and get us out of league 2
Not sure of how you define sugar daddy but your club is entirely reliant on loans from Power and if he asked for the money back tomorrow you’d be completely screwed. As of a year ago those loans were apparently worth 6 million and I’m sure your army of loan signings this season won’t have come cheap.
