I was known at work for being a font of useless trivia 😁😁
I went from being "Statto" at Uni to "Motty" in my first post-Uni job on account of this sort of thing.

As for quizzes - well, I'm saying little except a year or two ago I managed to get every question right in a specialist subject round on Mastermind...I believe Northants Grecian of this parish is a pretty serious quizzer too.

Yes Minister / Yes Prime Minister.

I was fortunate in that I had just been reading the accompanying "diaries" but would still have got almost all of them right.

On the subject of quizzes. I was reminded on Friday whilst in the Royal Oak, Heavitree seeing a few old friends I’ve not crossed paths with for a couple of decades or more, of the Quiz in that pub every Wednesday, because i lived close to the pub it was my task to reserve the table. I had to get there at 6.30pm for a 8.30pm start. It was that popular. No chance of a table if you got there at 7pm. It was legendary in the area.
The other two pubs in the road had quiz nights on the Tuesday & Thursday respectively, some of the hardcore teams did those as well.

They are all at it CB...The days of free parking at many hotels in tourist areas of California are long gone. Las Vegas is going the same way on The Strip.
I’ve not driven over here on visits in the past decade, but needed a car for logistical reasons on this visit. Even car hire has got really expensive in California with all the extra taxes banged on these days.

Scrap metal salvagers flying under the Chinese flag taking metal from HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse two designated WW2 war graves.

Where is a misfiring drone when you need one.
